Employer Posting Policy

Employer Posting Policy

Clear opportunities. Honest expectations. Respect for families.

Every Homeschoolwork listing must identify the organization, describe the work truthfully, label the relationship correctly, and give applicants the practical information needed to evaluate fit.

Required in every listing

Tell applicants who you are and what the work actually requires.

  • Accurate organization identity and an authorized representative
  • A working website or another verifiable public presence
  • A truthful job title, description, responsibilities, and qualifications
  • The correct employment or work classification
  • Clear paid or unpaid status
  • Specific compensation details required by the current submission form
  • Expected weekly hours and schedule structure
  • Remote, hybrid, local, and travel requirements
  • A legitimate application method and any deadline
  • Material availability, meeting, equipment, licensing, or background-check expectations

Listings may describe a lawful faith-based mission or lawful role requirement. They may not use discriminatory language prohibited by applicable law.

Label the opportunity correctly

Applicants should never have to guess what kind of relationship is being offered.

Paid employment

State salary or hourly compensation, expected hours, schedule, location, employment type, and material benefits or conditions.

Independent contracting

State the project scope, fee or rate, payment timing, estimated hours, deadlines, location, and that the role is contractor work.

Commission-only work

Label it commission-only and explain the calculation, payment timing, expenses, quotas, lead source, and whether any base pay exists.

Volunteer roles

Use the word “Volunteer” prominently and state that the role is unpaid, including any reimbursement or expense expectations.

Internships

State whether the internship is paid or unpaid, what supervision and learning are provided, the duration, hours, and any academic requirements.

Business opportunities

Label them as business opportunities—not jobs—and disclose startup costs, purchases, recurring fees, recruiting expectations, and income uncertainty.

Listings we do not accept

Homeschoolwork is for real work, not disguised advertising or financial schemes.

  • Misleading income claims or disguised multilevel-marketing recruitment
  • Pay-to-apply listings, check-cashing schemes, or equipment-purchase schemes
  • Illegal work or adult-content work
  • Unrelated lead-generation, data-harvesting, or recruiting schemes
  • Requests for unnecessary sensitive information at the application stage
  • Third-party jobs reposted without authorization
  • Fake urgency, impersonation, or a false organization identity
  • Listings that are primarily advertisements rather than opportunities
  • Vague roles that conceal classification, compensation, fees, or required purchases
  • Language prohibited by applicable employment law

Moderation and enforcement

Every new listing enters review before publication.

Homeschoolwork may take the following actions when appropriate and consistent with the current Terms of Use:

Edit formatting

Request clarification

Reject a listing

Remove a listing

Suspend an employer account

Require verification

Report suspected fraud

Preserve appropriate records

Approval is not permanent immunity from review. A listing may be revisited when facts change, reports are received, or the published opportunity no longer matches the work.
