How Homeschoolworks handles information.

This policy explains what information Homeschoolworks currently collects, why it is used, how it may be shared, and the choices available to users.

Effective date: July 18, 2026
Last updated: July 18, 2026

The essentials

Homeschoolworks collects information needed to operate accounts, employer profiles, job listings, dashboards, and safety-reporting tools. Public employer profiles and published job listings are intentionally visible to site visitors.

  • Homeschoolworks does not currently process payments.
  • Homeschoolworks does not currently sell personal information.
  • Private listing reports are restricted to authorized administrators.
  • Users should not submit highly sensitive personal information through general site fields.

This summary is provided for convenience. If it conflicts with the detailed policy below, the detailed policy controls.

Information you provide

Account information

When a user account is created or used, WordPress may store information such as name, username, email address, password handled through WordPress authentication, account role, and permissions. Passwords are handled by WordPress authentication rather than displayed publicly.

Employer information

Employer onboarding and employer profiles may collect company name, website, industry, company description, work arrangements, employer logo, and a statement about why the organization is interested in hiring homeschool families.

Job-listing information

Job listings may include job title, description, location, work arrangement, employment type, compensation type, compensation details, weekly hours, schedule structure, primary time zone, required availability, travel requirement, application deadline, homeschool compatibility statement, company information, and other details submitted by the employer through WP Job Manager and Homeschoolworks fields.

Listing reports

Listing-report submissions may collect reporter name, email address, report category, description of concern, related job or employer, related listing URL, supporting URL, and related moderation details.

Uploaded files

The platform currently accepts employer logos and related media through the employer profile and job-listing workflow. Uploaded media may include file names, image metadata, alt text, and WordPress media-library records.

Information displayed publicly

Certain information is submitted for publication. Public employer profile and job-listing content may include employer profile name, employer logo, employer description, website, industry, work arrangements, homeschool-family statement, published job-listing content, compensation information, schedule information, and other listing details.

Public content may be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, linked to, cached by third parties, or saved outside Homeschoolworks. Users should not include private personal information in public profile or listing fields. Removing content from Homeschoolworks may not immediately remove copies cached or saved elsewhere.

Information collected automatically

Homeschoolworks, WordPress, WP Job Manager, and the hosting environment may automatically process technical information needed to operate the site. This may include IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, date and time of access, referring page, authentication and session data, security records, error logs, and rate-limit records.

The listing-report tool stores a hashed version of the request IP address to help limit spam, duplicate submissions, and abuse without intentionally displaying the IP address in public content.

Homeschoolworks does not currently use an active analytics or advertising service on the site. Server logs may still be retained by the hosting provider or infrastructure providers even when Homeschoolworks does not actively review them.

Cookies and similar technologies

WordPress and related platform tools may use cookies or similar technologies to sign users in, maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect administrative access, and support secure form submissions. Nonces and authentication cookies help confirm that requests come from an authorized session.

Logged-out visitors may receive only cookies necessary for WordPress, security, hosting, or basic site operation. Homeschoolworks does not currently use a cookie-consent banner, behavioral advertising cookies, or advertising-pixel system.

How Homeschoolworks uses information

  • Create and maintain user accounts.
  • Authenticate users and protect account access.
  • Create employer profiles and publish employer information submitted for public display.
  • Publish, manage, edit, relist, and moderate job listings.
  • Provide employer dashboards and associate jobs with employer profiles.
  • Review listing reports and support moderation, investigation, safety, and policy enforcement.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, fraud, duplicate submissions, and unauthorized changes.
  • Maintain and improve site functionality.
  • Enforce policies, terms, and platform rules.
  • Respond to lawful requests or protect legal rights when necessary.

Homeschoolworks does not currently use personal information for personalized advertising, automated hiring decisions, or active marketing email campaigns.

Why information is processed

Information may be processed because it is necessary to provide requested platform services, because the user submitted it for publication, because it is needed to protect legitimate platform and community interests, because it is required to enforce agreements or policies, because it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or because the user has provided consent where consent is the appropriate basis.

Not every reason applies to every user or every use of information.

When information may be shared

Public publication

Employer profiles and job listings are shared publicly when published.

Service providers

Information may be processed by WordPress hosting, infrastructure, security, backup, maintenance, or technical service providers that help operate the site. Email or CRM providers are not currently used for the public contact workflow because the prepared HubSpot integration is not configured.

Legal, safety, and platform protection

Information may be shared or preserved when needed to comply with law, court orders, valid legal requests, protect users or the public, protect Homeschoolworks or legal rights, or investigate suspected fraud, abuse, policy violations, or harmful activity.

Business changes and user direction

Information may be transferred or reviewed as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or transfer of platform assets. Information may also be shared when users intentionally submit it for publication or request a platform service.

Private report information is not intentionally displayed to employers or the public.

Third-party services and external links

Homeschoolworks may link to employer websites, job application pages, external resources, and third-party services. Homeschoolworks does not control external sites, and their privacy practices may differ. Users should review third-party policies before submitting information elsewhere.

Clicking an external link may allow the third party to collect information such as browser details, IP address, referring page, and any information the user chooses to provide. HubSpot is prepared for a future contact form integration, but it is not currently configured to receive information from the Contact page.

Applications and employer interactions

The current site uses WP Job Manager for job listings and employer-submitted listing details. Homeschoolworks does not currently operate a separate applicant-tracking system, resume-storage system, candidate-profile system, or applicant-message inbox.

Applicants may follow instructions, email addresses, external application links, or other application methods provided in a job listing. Employers are independently responsible for information they collect from applicants outside Homeschoolworks. Applicants should review employer privacy practices and avoid sharing sensitive information before verifying the employer and the appropriate hiring stage.

Reports and safety information

Listing reports are stored privately and may be reviewed by authorized administrators. A report may be connected to a job listing, employer profile, employer name, related URL, supporting URL, reporter name, reporter email address, report category, description of concern, status, and internal moderation records.

Reports are used for moderation, investigation, safety, abuse prevention, duplicate-submission prevention, and policy enforcement. Reporter information is not intentionally displayed publicly. Homeschoolworks may preserve report records after resolution. Submitting a report does not guarantee removal of a listing or a direct response.

How long information is kept

Information may be retained while an account remains active, while employer profiles or listings remain published, as needed for dashboards and platform records, for moderation, fraud prevention, safety, disputes, and legal obligations, in backups for limited periods, and after removal when required for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

Expired, filled, draft, pending, removed, or reported content may remain in private platform records. Homeschoolworks does not currently promise fixed deletion periods for all categories of information.

How information is protected

Homeschoolworks uses WordPress authentication, permission and ownership checks, nonces, input validation, output escaping, restricted private content types, administrator-only review queues, rate limiting, honeypot spam protection, and file-type and size restrictions for current platform workflows.

No website, hosting provider, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Homeschoolworks does not publish sensitive security thresholds or internal safeguards that could weaken platform protection.

Your choices

Users can limit the personal information they include in public fields. Employers can use available account controls to manage owned employer profiles and job listings through front-end platform tools where those tools are available.

Users may request correction or removal of information when a verified request path is available. Public request procedures are still being established, and Homeschoolworks does not currently promise account self-deletion or a simple email-request process through a public email address. Until a verified public request channel is published, users should use available account controls and avoid submitting unnecessary personal information.

Children’s privacy

Homeschoolworks is an employment platform intended for adults and organizations. The platform is not designed for children to create accounts or submit personal information. Parents and employers should not publish children’s sensitive personal information in profiles, listings, reports, or other site fields.

Homeschoolworks may remove information that appears to create a safety concern.

Where information is processed

Homeschoolworks currently operates through WordPress and hosting or infrastructure service providers. Information may be processed in locations where those service providers operate. Users outside the United States should understand that information submitted to the platform may be transferred to or processed in the United States or other service-provider locations.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the platform changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised when the policy changes. Material changes may be communicated through the site or available account channels. Continued use after an effective change may be governed by the updated policy, subject to applicable law.

Privacy questions and requests

Homeschoolworks is still establishing a public privacy-request channel. Until that system is published, users should use available account controls and avoid submitting unnecessary personal information.

The Contact page explains the currently available platform paths. It does not currently provide a verified direct intake form.
