The terms for using Homeschoolworks.

These Terms govern access to Homeschoolworks, including job listings, employer profiles, user accounts, dashboards, reporting tools, and other current platform features.

By accessing or using Homeschoolworks, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Who may use Homeschoolworks

Homeschoolworks is intended for adults and organizations. By using the platform, you represent that you are legally capable of entering these Terms, will use the platform for lawful purposes, will provide accurate information, and will comply with applicable laws and platform policies.

If you create an employer profile or post a job, you also represent that you have authority to act for the organization you identify.

User accounts

Some Homeschoolworks features require a WordPress user account. Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, keeping credentials secure, and all activity occurring through their accounts.

Users must not share accounts in a way that bypasses permissions, ownership controls, employer-profile restrictions, job-management controls, or dashboard access. If unauthorized access is suspected, users should notify Homeschoolworks through an available contact channel.

Homeschoolworks may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create safety, security, legal, or operational risks.

Employer profiles

Employer profiles are created by users claiming authority to represent an organization. Employers are responsible for the accuracy of company names, descriptions, websites, logos, industries, work arrangements, and statements about why they want to hire homeschool families.

Public employer-profile information is intentionally visible in the Employer Directory, individual employer profiles, and related job-listing areas. Employers must not impersonate another business or organization and must have rights to logos, descriptions, and other uploaded or submitted content.

Homeschoolworks may edit formatting, request clarification, unpublish, restrict, or remove employer profiles. Homeschoolworks does not currently claim that employers are formally verified.

Job listings

Job listings must be accurate, lawful, current, complete, posted by an authorized party, and consistent with the Employer Posting Policy.

Employers are responsible for job titles, duties, qualifications, compensation, schedule, work arrangement, weekly hours, required availability, travel, employment classification, commission terms, unpaid or volunteer status, application deadlines, hiring decisions, payroll, taxes, insurance, and employment-law compliance.

Editing, marking filled, reopening, expiration, or relisting does not transfer responsibility from the employer to Homeschoolworks.

Homeschoolworks is not the employer

Homeschoolworks does not employ job seekers and does not become a party to employment, contractor, freelance, internship, volunteer, ministry, or business-opportunity relationships formed through or after use of the platform.

Homeschoolworks does not negotiate compensation, administer payroll or benefits, determine worker classification, supervise work, or guarantee payment, performance, availability, hiring, or continued employment. Employers and workers are solely responsible for their agreements and compliance obligations.

Job seeker responsibilities

Job seekers are responsible for providing accurate information to employers, evaluating opportunities independently, protecting sensitive personal information, avoiding unlawful or misleading conduct, using external employer systems carefully, and reviewing compensation, schedule, classification, and expectations before proceeding.

Homeschoolworks does not guarantee that a role fits a family’s schedule, finances, values, childcare needs, or homeschool responsibilities. Job seekers should review the Job Seeker Safety guidance and report suspicious listings when appropriate.

Prohibited uses

Users may not use Homeschoolworks for illegal activity, fraud, scams, impersonation, misrepresentation, harassment, unlawful discrimination, exploitation, coercion, threats, spam, duplicate listings, scraping or automated extraction without permission, unauthorized security testing, malware, credential theft, or attempts to bypass permissions.

Users may not attempt to access private reports, another user’s dashboard, or restricted content; upload content without rights; use the platform to collect highly sensitive information improperly; require payment merely to apply; hide fees; promote pyramid or deceptive recruiting schemes; or post package-reshipping, money-transfer, check-cashing, or similar fraudulent work. This list is not exhaustive.

Special opportunity types

Business opportunities must be clearly distinguished from employment. Commission-only roles must fully explain compensation. Unpaid and volunteer roles must be unmistakably labeled. Ministry and support-raised roles must explain fundraising and financial expectations. Independent-contractor roles must be identified honestly.

Employers may not hide mandatory purchases, subscriptions, startup costs, or other material conditions. Review the Employer Posting Policy for current listing standards.

Reports, review, and moderation

Users may report a listing. Reports are reviewed privately and do not automatically remove a listing. Homeschoolworks may investigate, request clarification, restrict, remove, preserve, or take no action, and may not disclose review outcomes.

False, abusive, retaliatory, or spam reports are prohibited. Reporter information is not intentionally made public.

Homeschoolworks may manage platform content

Homeschoolworks may edit formatting, correct obvious display errors, request additional information, delay publication, reject content, unpublish content, remove content, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, preserve records, refuse future use, or change platform organization, categories, or display.

Homeschoolworks has no obligation to publish or retain any listing, profile, account, report, or user-submitted content. Homeschoolworks does not claim that every listing is manually reviewed before publication.

Content users submit

Users retain ownership of content they own. By submitting content to Homeschoolworks, users grant Homeschoolworks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, publish, distribute, adapt for technical display, moderate, and remove that content as reasonably needed to operate, promote, secure, and improve the platform.

Users represent that they have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the content. Homeschoolworks does not claim ownership of employer logos, job descriptions, or other employer-owned materials.

Homeschoolworks content and branding

The Homeschoolworks name, logo, design system, site layout, original copy, software, and platform features are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Users may not copy or republish substantial platform content, use Homeschoolworks branding without permission, create confusingly similar branding, reverse engineer or exploit platform code except where law allows, or remove copyright or attribution notices.

Employer content remains subject to the employer’s rights.

External websites and services

Listings may link to employer websites, application pages, or other external services. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. Homeschoolworks does not control external content, security, hiring systems, or data use, and users access third-party services at their own risk.

A link does not constitute endorsement. The prepared HubSpot contact form is not described here as active because it has not been configured and verified on the live Contact page.

No guarantee of listings, applicants, or outcomes

Homeschoolworks does not guarantee listing accuracy, employer legitimacy, applicant legitimacy, hiring, applicants, interviews, payment, performance, safety, legal compliance, availability, job fit, income, platform uptime, error-free operation, or continued availability of any feature.

Platform provided as available

To the extent permitted by law, Homeschoolworks is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by law, Homeschoolworks and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including losses related to employment, income, business opportunities, data, reputation, fraud, external websites, employer or applicant conduct, platform interruption, unauthorized access, or reliance on listings.

Some jurisdictions may not allow every limitation. This section requires professional legal review.

Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Homeschoolworks and its operators from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from their submitted content, job listings, hiring practices, employment or contractor relationships, violation of these Terms, violation of law, infringement of another party’s rights, or misuse of the platform.

This section requires professional legal review.

Suspension and termination

Homeschoolworks may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts, profiles, listings, access, or dashboard permissions for policy violations, legal risk, security concerns, fraud, inactivity, abuse, or operational reasons.

Content may remain in backups or private records. Termination does not erase obligations that arose before termination. Certain sections survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and dispute terms.

Changes to the platform

Homeschoolworks may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue features, pages, fields, pricing, policies, or access. Current free launch access may change, future pricing is not guaranteed, continued use may require accepting updated terms, and no feature is guaranteed to remain available.

Updates to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the platform changes. The last-updated date will change when these Terms are revised. Material updates may be communicated through the website or available account channels. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance, subject to applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

Homeschoolworks has not yet published final governing-law, venue, arbitration, or formal dispute-resolution terms. These provisions should be added only after professional legal review and a confirmed business entity and jurisdiction.

This section must be revisited before a broad commercial launch. These Terms do not add binding arbitration, a jury waiver, a class-action waiver, or an invented jurisdiction.

Questions about these Terms

Homeschoolworks is still establishing a verified public contact channel. Until that system is published, users should rely on available account controls, reporting tools, and public policy pages.
